United States Supreme Court 2005-2006 Term In Review| On Friday, August 11, 2006 at 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. and again on Friday, August 25, at 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. the San Antonio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the United States District Clerk co-sponsored the video presentation of the Federal Judicial Center's satellite broadcast of "The United States Supreme Court, 2005-2006 Term in Review."

January 11, 2006 | We are pleased to welcome Gerald Goldstein of Goldstein, Goldstein & Hilley, P.C., who will discuss: "The Indictments: Tom DeLay and Scooter Libby." Mr. Goldstein is a nationally recognized criminal defense lawyer who is well-known for his incisive analysis and commentary. We are honored that he has made time in his very busy schedule to share his observations on two criminal prosecutions now in the news, and the hot topics and issues they showcase.


December 14, 2005 | We are pleased to welcome Professor Douglas Laycock of the University of Texas School of Law who will provide an update on First Amendment Establishment Clause cases. Professor Laycock participated in the case recently decided by the United States Supreme Court involving the display of the Ten Commandments on the grounds of the Texas State Capitol. Prof. Laycock is well-known for his scholarship in religious freedom and the First Amendment.
