Congratulations to San Antonio FBA Members on National Awards!
From Chapter President J. Todd Hedgepeth
The San Antonio chapter was honored at the 2007 FBA National Convention held in Atlanta, Georgia on September 7-8, 2007, where we received THREE important awards recognizing the excellence of our chapter.
Specifically, we received a 2007 Chapter Activity Presidential Excellence Award which recognizes the overall achievements of the chapter in several areas including administration, programming, and membership. We as a Chapter work hard to communicate with each other about matters of importance to the federal courts and bar and to sponsor CLE programs and monthly luncheon speakers on "hot" topics of interest to the federal practitioner. FBA National recently reported that as of October 18, 2007 our Chapter totaled 431 active members in good standing, making us one of the largest FBA Chapters.
In addition, we were awarded a 2007 Presidential Citation Award in recognition of the Chapter's sponsorship of the University of Texas at San Antonio-Louis W. Fox Technical High School Dual Enrollment Program. We also were awarded a 2007 Presidential Citation Award in recognition of the Chapter’s Constitution Day program. These activities reflect the heart of the Chapter and we attempt to find opportunities that will have a positive impact on the community. It is especially gratifying that FBA National has recognized the hard work, energy, and imagination of the Chapter members who dedicated themselves to these and similar projects
.
Many thanks to our fine Chapter members who have worked so hard to make this the best FBA chapter in the country!
